In Isaiah 58, we are reminded that a true fast is not just a day of going without, not just a day of being good and being humble. From verse 6 we are told that a true fast is a lifetime commitment. Living a life that is different.
We believe that RE:SONATE is a word over the youth work within Quaystone church where God is looking for a lifetime commitment, not just a day here and there, but like a continuous sound.
Primarily, our aim is to see the young people in Quaystone church living in close relationship with Jesus both as individuals and as a group. As their lives are exposed to the fullness of life that Jesus offers (John 10:10), I believe that Jesus will impact the lives of those around them also.
Our young people are an important part of the church not just in the future but also for today and we encourage them to be involved with the Sunday morning meetings as well as coming along to youth orientated gatherings.
RE:LATE is the youth cell which also runs every week on a Tuesday evening. As well as having social times, we look at how we can relate to God through His Son Jesus in more depth.
Though our initial numbers are small, Jesus began with just 12 disciples who then went on to evangelise to the rest of the world. The potential of the young people we already have is huge, and we thank God that we have the opportunity to work with them and pray that their response will be to resonate the love of Jesus.
